Sourcing
Working closely with a group of suppliers filtered through via our rigorous sourcing policy. We’re ensuring that the ingredients we are using are both ethically and sustainably produced.
All of our fresh produce is sourced from organic or low-intervention farms in the home counties, within 50 miles of the bakery.
Our grain is all UK grown, stone-milled and traceable to the farm. An intentional move against commodity wheat and industrialised farming.
Imported ingredients are carefully audited to give us the most amount of control over the care of the product and the people growing it.

Our Food
Changing monthly, menus at Hearth are reflective of the seasons, they are recognisable products with variations that make use of locally sourced ingredients.
The flavours represent the multicultural nature of our city, drawing inspiration from the neighbourhoods that surround and represent us.
It is ingredient led comfort food, with vegetables and wholegrains taking centre stage.
We try to keep our price accessible whilst ensuring fair pay for everybody within our food chain from staff to grower.
-
Circular Kitchen
We utilise every part of the produce passing through our kitchen and menus are planned to account for the surplus they will generate. That surplus is then re-imagined into other dishes and products to sell or use in store.
For food that is no longer deemed safe to eat we compost cooked components via Hackney Council and for raw ingredients we take them to our local growing space to become compost for future ingredients.
It is a celebration of the ingredients and the care and resources that have gone into growing it.
The aim is to inspire the next generations of our food industry, and through traineeships, to make it a common practise.
